Salvation is God's FREE gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his/her life by faith and continues a relationship with Him.

Romans 6:23

John 14:6

Galatians 3:26

John 3:16

Water baptism is a symbol of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Savior. Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare that our old life is washed away, and we now have a new life in Christ. It is also a reassurance for the believer that they are reunited with God. Jesus was baptized and commanded that all believers were to be also.

Matthew 3:16-17, 28:18-20

Acts 2:41, 8:12

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the trinity, and He is given to believers who ask for Him. He empowers you to live a sanctified and holy life, and to be effective in service to God.

Acts 1:8

1 Corinthians 3:17

Galatians 5:25

1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16

Man was created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are literal places of eternal existence.

John 3:16, 14:17

Romans 6:23

Revelation 20:15

1 Corinthians 2:7-9
